This Hi-Low adapter is perfect when adding a aftermarket amplifier to a factory head unit. How this unit works is it takes the signal from a pair of speakers and converts it into a low level signal (RCA's) so that you can plug them into your aftermarket amp. You do not lose your speakers it is connected to, you simply connect these wires on the speaker terminals as well.
